Canteen Stall Advertisement

Closing Date for Application: 25 September 2026, 12pm

West Spring Secondary School invites applicants to operate food stalls at our school canteen. The stalls must sell noodle dishes, specifically 1 Malay Noodle stall and 1 Chinese/Korean/Japanese Noodle stall.

Background

We are a single session secondary school with student enrolment of 1100 and staff strength of 120. There are currently 6 food stalls and 1 drink/snack stall at our school.

Interest applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Singapore citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) status is required for both the stallholder and stall assistant.

  • Applicants must be able to provide good service and quality food, with prices determined in consultation with the school.

  • Applicants must be able to provide cooked food that meets the health and nutritional standards set by the Health Promotion Board (HPB) under the Healthy Meals in Schools Programme (HMSP) guidelines. (link).

  • Applicants must maintain high standards of food safety and personal hygiene.

  • Applicants must be healthy and fit to operate the stall.

Applicants must also fulfil the following criteria:

  • The successful applicant and stall assistant(s) must possess the WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

  • Applicants must have catering experience or experience operating in a school environment.

  • Successful applicant is required to apply for a food stall license from Singapore Food Agency (SFA).

  • Applicants must adopt green practices.

Application Procedure

  1. Download and complete the application form. You may also request for a hardcopy from the School’s General Office.

  1. Attached the following documents together with the application form:

  • Photocopy of the NRIC (front and back).

  • List of proposed menu and pricing for all items.

  • Records of past catering/canteen experiences, if any.

  • Photocopy of relevant certificates such as Basic Food Hygiene Course, etc.

  1. Submit the completed application form and documents by the closing date via email or to the School's General Office.

Please note that late applications will not be accepted.

Interview and Food Tasting

Shortlisted applicants will be notified for an interview and will be required to provide food samples for the School Canteen Selection Committee at their own expense. The successful applicant will be expected to commence operation of the stall on the date stated in the Temporary Occupation Licence (TOL) agreement.
