CCE Learning Journeys and CCE Lecture on 6 August
Below are the briefs of the learning journeys and lecture:
Sec 1E/NA: Worlds Religion Tour
The Sec 1E/NA will be visiting the places of worship of the major religions in Singapore (Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism and Christianity). The students will learn the beliefs, rites and rituals of the three religions and their similarities.
The sec 1 NT will embark on an experiential “amazing race style quiz” to Kampong Glam on the Malay culture and history of Singapore.
The Sec 2s will be engaged in a walking trail from Fort Canning Hill through the Civic District and end at the Cenotaph. Along the way, they will hear of inspiring stories and also pay homage to all who gave their lives in the defence of Singapore and Malaya in the Second WWII at the Cenotaph. Sites include Clarke Quay (Whampoa’s Ice House), Boat Quay (Maulana Majid), Parliament House & Supreme Court, Lim Bo Seng Memorial/ Tan Kim Seng Monument Cenotaph.)
Our Sec 3 Normal Course students will be visiting the new Sports Hub, looking at the history of sports and athletics in Singapore. We have asked the vendor to include elements related to EBS and Social Studies in the LJ specially the rise of sports tourism as an industry and sports and fitness management as possible career options.

Guest Speaker: Ms Ng Hsueh Ling
A veteran of the Real Estate Industry in Singapore. Has extensive experience in strategic sourcing, investment, asset and portfolio management as well as hold various key positions in CapitaLand Limited, Asendas and Keppel REIT Management. She is also an active grassroots volunter and an Executive Member of PAP’s Women’s Wing.
The title of her lecture is: Insights into the Singapore REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) Industry.
