The West Spring Sports Leaders are the ambassadors of active lifestyle in school. They play a crucial role in the planning, organising and executing of sports events for the school such as Sports day, Interclass games and Inter-CCA competitions. The West Spring Sports Leaders are first nominated by the PE and CCA teachers and have to go through an interview and selection process in Term 3.
In Year 1, students will assist in the running of the End-of-Year Interclass competitions, mentored by their Year 2 and 3 seniors. In Year 2, our sports leaders will attend training at a training academy to expose themselves further to sports management such as basic first aid and event organisation. They will assist the Year 3 students in the planning and execution of both the school-based and student-initiated sports events. The Year 3 sports leaders will be the main in-charge of the organisation and execution of these events. The Sports Leaders Executive Committee (EXCO) will also be planning and organising the annual year end camp for all the leaders.
Some student-initiated sports events run by the Sports Leaders are West Spring Soccer Cup, Inter-CCA competition, West Spring 3-on-3 Basketball and Student Rental of Sports equipment.
