The title of our school’s LLP is F.O.C.U.S.
Finding individual exploration and discovery of specific sports talents
Optimising comprehensive learning from school-wide PE, CCA and sports-related activities such as inter-class games & Sports Day
Communicating extended participation in sports and wellness programmes, and active promotion of community outreach activities
Understanding cognitive awareness of the impacts of healthy lifestyle on self, society and nation
All students will be provided with a strong foundation in the learning, participation and enjoyment of a wide variety of physical activities and sports. They will learn about the safety guidelines, rules and regulations, as well as the techniques and methods of different sports and games. These broad-based experiences are designed for students to find their physical ability and interest.
Further engagements to these sports may be extended through modules in cognitive and sports psychology so that students could learn about target-setting, focusing, and stress management. All these help in improving motivation level and mental prowess. Students will also learn different theories, strategies and methods to think positively in difficult situations, to keep calm and control their feelings and actions, and to focus on solving problems and improving performance. The programme hopes to achieve these outcomes – to build mental tenacity and resilience in students, to provide new learning opportunities, to adapt and persevere in unfamiliar conditions, and to not give up in adverse situations.
