E-Learning Day 2019
To develop the digital literacy skills needed in the 21st century and to increase students’ access to digital learning resources, e-learning has become an essential part of our teaching and learning. This year, West Spring’s E-learning Day falls on Tuesday, 21 May. Your child/ward does not need to report to school on this day but is required to participate actively in home-based learning according to the instructions given in the following pages.
The e-learning timetable for your child/ward is shown below.
The allocated time for every subject is 1 hour.
All e-assignments found in Student Learning Space (SLS) and are due on the same day, 21 May, at 5pm.
Teachers will track the students’ online attendance through the online submission of work.
In addition, students are required to log in to his/her school GAFE Gmail to complete Feedback on Teachers’ Teaching Surveys and a Travel Declaration for the upcoming June holidays. We prefer parents to use Parents’ Gateway to submit your child’s travel declaration on his/her behalf.
The school will render support to students who are unable to access a computer or the internet at home by providing computers at blk D classrooms (2nd floor) on 21 May from 8am to 12noon only. Students using the school computers must report to school at 8am and be attired in full school uniform.
For SLS and GAFE Gmail account password resets, you may call the general office at 68920369 for help. Please note that your child can also reset his/her SLS password on her own if he/she has a valid email address in SLS.
We look forward to your support to encourage our students to be responsible for their own learning and to be punctual in their online submission.
