Dear parents, students and partners of West Spring Secondary,
We began this year by welcoming 280 Secondary 1 students on 2 January 2018, many of whom are really glad to have secured a place in this school. Based on the cut-off points, you may be pleased to know that the school continues to be well sought-after by parents and students. Last Friday, our 2017 cohort of students returned to receive their O-level results. I am pleased to announce that the school did very well. Many parents came to support their sons and daughters on this joyous occasion.
The school will enhance its focus to nurture our students to be confident, resilient and equipped with the values and life skills to be successful in an increasingly uncertain world. To achieve these, there will be greater emphasis on students’ ownership of their learning through self-directed approaches such as project work and student initiated-activities. These student-centric approaches will ensure that our student’s Thirst for Knowledge can grow stronger!
To encourage our students to be more resilient, daring and innovative, the school will strengthen our programmes to equip our charges with leadership competencies, skills and attitudes. Our students will be encouraged to explore beyond their comfort levels so as to stretch their potential within a nurturing, supportive and caring environment.
Let us work together to nurture our students into “Ladies and Gentlemen of Character and Learning”.
